Singles track:
Saturday afternoon
After a Friday evening and
Saturday morning learning from Linda Dillow and Lorraine
Pintus, you can meet other women in a special Saturday
afternoon session just for singles.
Workshop leader Nancy
Barton, director of women's ministry at Wheaton Bible
Church, will help women formulate a personal vision
statement and lead discussion on such topics as:
- How is it possible to
be sexually pure in such an impure world?
-
What do I do with my
sexual feelings?
-
How do I handle the long,
lonely wait?
-
What does it mean that
Jesus is my Bridegroom?
-
How can I live my single
life to the fullest?
-
What sexual boundaries are
right for me?
Comment from
the Singles Sessions
I am a
single/divorced mother who has been in a serious relationship
now for 2 yrs. and recently attended your conf. The
question of pre-marital sex has been a topic of conversation
previously. We are both Christians and have debated our
beliefs vs. our sexual relationship before. Nothing has ever
hit as hard as Nancy's comment, "if you want God to bless
your relationship, then give Him something to bless". We
have been praying and studying together for over a year now
and have continually asked God to bless our relationship.
Our eyes opened with that comment. We are dedicated to our
new commitment and praise God for His awesome forgiveness.
It is not going to be easy.......with God's strength though,
we are praying that this will only bring us closer together
and closer to Him. In Christ's Love, Thank You, straight
from our hearts.
A Vision for
Purity
Lord, as I long and pray for
the husband you have for me, my desire is to be holy and
pure in your eyes. Thank you for cleansing me and
creating an innocent heart, mind and spirit once again.
My prayer is that I can present myself fully to my future
husband as a desirable gift, like a rose bud that has held
the gift hidden inside and on my wedding night I will be
able to open into full bloom for my lover, my husband.
Lord, please keep my vase close to your breast so that our
hearts may beat as one and let me drink of your living water
so I may present to my husband a life-giving heart and soul.
Thank you for your provisions and strength each day to live
out this vision.
